Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup color peppers
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 16 oz (3 cups) gluten free pasta
- 2 8oz cans of tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp parsley flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and saute the diced onions and peppers together.
- Once the meat is browned, add the minced garlic.
- Add the salt, pepper, paprika and parsley. Then stir to mix before adding in the beef broth, tomato sauce and cream.
- Add the pasta and bring to a boil then turn the heat down to a simmer.
- Cover with a lid and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to make the pasta not stick.
- Once pasta is cooked, add the cheese and stir in.
- Turn the heat off and cover to let cheese melt.
Notes
- Use a sturdy gluten free pasta like Jovial or Barilla.
- Use freshly grated cheddar cheese so it melts well.
- Can easily sub whole milk for the heavy cream.
- Adjust the liquids as needed.
- Storage: Place any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
- Reheating: Place on a stovetop pan and heat until warmed through, adding a splash of cream if needed.
