Easy healthy pumpkin pie smoothie is just the trick to kick your taste buds into fall. Creamy, rich and delicious- it’s like fall in your mouth.

It is that time of year- leaves falling, school starting, hayrides, bonfires and pumpkin patches. The cooler nights and warmer days are upon us. And what better way to get in the fall spirit then with this easy healthy pumpkin pie smoothie. The richness of the fall flavors combined with creamy protein rich yogurt and almond butter will have you ready for the cozy cool season. We love pairing this smoothie with these No Bake Pumpkin Spice Honey Bites.

    What You Will Need:

    • Pumpkin puree
    • Frozen banana
    • Almond butter
    • Milk
    • Yogurt
    • Pumpkin spice
    • Vanilla extract
All ingredients for pumpkin pie smoothie- frozen bananas, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, milk, yogurt, almond butter and pumpkin spice

    How To Make:

Combine all ingredients in blender and pulse until creamy consistency.

Can I make this dairy free?

Of course, use a non-dairy milk and non-dairy yogurt of choice. I prefer Kitehill almond yogurt and Malk almond milk.

    Pumpkin Spice Blend

If you don’t have an already pre-made pumpkin spice or pumpkin pie blend, you can very easily make your own. Blend together 1/4 tsp each of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and ginger.

    Smoothie Add-ins Ideas

    • Flax seeds– great boost of fiber. This is excellent for nursing mamas and women trying to re-balance hormones.
    • Pumpkin seeds– an excellent source of zinc, vitamin K and several minerals with high levels of antioxidants.
    • Chia seeds– a tablespoon of healthy fats and fiber.
    • Collagen– adding a scoop will bump up the protein count and thicken up the smoothie.

    Tips for the Best Smoothie

    • Frozen banana– helps to create a creamy consistency and sweetness.
    • If the smoothie is too thick, add more milk.
    • If the smoothie is too thin, add a few ice cubes.
